Day 30 Progress for CrohnsFighting Got Fat. Mehhhh so back in early January this mentalist stepped on the scales and cried a tear or two. I had been advised that I needed to drop a few pounds due to on-going lady issues thanks to Crohns and scar tissue caused by this in my uterus.

My periods were lasting nearly a month due to the scar tissue and I was told that weight gain had exacerbated this. My baseplate was also peeling down due to an extra roll of fat gained as I was not watching my food intake since September when I had returned from holiday.

I am pleased to say other than the odd glass of Rose wine (2) I have not fallen off the wagon. Its been hard and I will admit being rather frustrated at times as I really wanted that bloody cake but after 30 days of culling all things bad for me I have indeed lost weight and I am feeling healthier for that.

It has also believe it or not improved my stoma output tenfold. It has been slightly slower and I am getting the blessed sleep I have been craving forever ( well since stoma formation). I am going to sleep at around 11pm and not requiring a bag empty until my morning alarm ( now thats impressive). I still use gelling agents but only one a time instead of two.


The start out weight for me was 12 stone 10lbs and my measurements were as follows

  • Right bicep – 12.5 inches
  • Left bicep – 12 inches
  • Chest – 36.5 inches
  • Left thigh – 22 inches
  • Right thigh – 21 inches
  • Waist – 38 inches
  • Neck – 14 inches
  • Hips – 46 inches

2 weeks in

Two weeks in I only did my measurements and these are the figures

  • Right bicep – 11.7 inches
  • Left bicep – 11.2 inches
  • Chest -35.8 inches
  • Left thigh – 20.8 inches
  • Right thigh – 20.5 inches
  • Waist – 36 inches
  • Neck – 13.7 inches
  • Hips – 42.3 inches

30 day weight and measurements

So drum roll please.My weight is now 11st 8lbs . My measurements as of day 30 are as follows

  • Right bicep – 10.8 inches
  • Left bicep – 10.8 inches
  • Chest – 34.2 inches
  • Left thigh – 19.8 inches
  • Right thigh – 20.3 inches
  • Waist – 35.5 inches
  • Neck – 13.6 inches
  • Hips – 40.8 inches

So that is a round of applause and a pat on ones back for sticking to this with a steely determination and many tears due to Hiit exercises.

Heres to the next 30 days. My cheat day in this period is going to be and yes you guessed it Valentines day. I still have my stash of peppermint chocolates from Christmas and Ben had best surprise me with something tasty…..

Fo those of you who have followed the diet since the first post you will have received a download recipe guide for the next month. You will also have to step up the Hiits to doing them with weights. Small 2.5kg weights will be fine if you have them. My ones are green as couldn’t find pink online.

  1. How does one go about following you and getting your blog post? I’d love to get your diet meals and exercise program. Ive. Colostomy with a small hernia on the left side of the stoma. I really need to drop about 40 pounds and tighten and tone muscle.

      If you go to diet on my catergories and select the first post which is titled crohnsfighting got fat and needs to go on a diet there is a pop up on that post that you subscribe too. Every 30 days for 3-4 months you will receive a updated recipe guide to follow that you can mix in with the previous month to have more variations to the food.
