CrohnsFighting Got Fat,Diet Week 2 Progress

So Im well into this diet and have the recipes down to a T. I can now knock up breakfast & all the yummy dishes included within this diet and I am not finding the food boring. However PMT week is fast approaching and I am finding myself rather emotional and sore. All I want is chocolate but Im not allowed what I would normally use to get me through that “time of the month” So I have settled on lets strip out the bedroom and get on the decorating wagon as long as it keeps my mind off of what I shouldn’t be eating. I am sleeping better. Im not having many accidental day time naps and I am enjoying both the cooking and the washing up …..

Its put a bit of a dent into the shopping allowance and costing on average £120 per week but thats based on two of us and I also have a never ending dustbin that is my daughter.

Day 8

Travelling back from Cardiff this morning and I will admit I had a rather late night as stayed up until 1am on the phone to my boyfriend and reasoned to myself that a shower and a bag change at 12:45 am would allow me an extra hour in bed the following morning. Going down for the hotel breakfast at 7:50am and then realising ahhhhh shit I cant eat most of what was on offer was a slight downer… I went for eggs & tomatoes and a brew, stuffed up with that and aimed back for my room and managed to get the 9:26 train back to Kent. I finally got home for 12:50 and had a well deserved few hours sleep and went to surprise my daughter after school with what cost me the national debt at Paddington station as her present.

Breakfast

  • 2 Fried eggs and 3 tomatoes (skins peeled)

Lunch

  • No lunch I slept ….. Whoops

Tea

  • Cashew Chicken Curry, It was bloody delicious and I didn’t cook it

Snacks

  • 4 x 2 sets of protein balls

Day 9

Its that Friday feeling and I have good old fashioned accounts to deal with today. I work away until 1pm, manage to squeeze in a quick Hiit routine and spend the rest of the afternoon chasing around my 1 year old niece that hates the word NO and promptly trashes my living room whilst I sit and despair at the mess. Friday evening involved watching Godfather part 2 and me moaning that I want sweets and settling for rice cakes with peanut butter to settle what cravings I have for the left over quality street tin sitting in plain view.

Breakfast

  • Feta scrambled eggs

Lunch

  • Ummmmmm didn’t eat lunch again

Tea

  • Greek omelette

Snacks

  • 4 protein balls
  • 2 chilli rice cakes covered in peanut butter once I worked out how to weigh the sod without killing the scales

Day 10

Today equals a crappy daughter (me) rushing out to get her mums birthday presents & cake prior to evening events. So me rushing around town and grabbing her presents, lunch for my daughter from Gregg’s (sadistic child) I swear she does this to torment me. On the way out the door I get mummy can I please have a sausage roll, a giant cookie and a bag of crisps. Good job Im not a fan of Gregg’s really. I successfully get my mums birthday cake ( I want the cake!!!!) and head back home. This little exercise gains me 1.7 miles of walking in 25 minutes so Im getting speedy.

Breakfast

  • Didn’t wake up until 9:30 am so breakfast skipped as had much to do and little time to do it

Lunch

  • Greek omelette

Tea

  • Chicken noodle soup from the Chinese, now please don’t judge me but sitting in a family function with 13 people I got pressured into at least having something small. So to appease my mother who has a neurosis about my food intake since diagnosis I relent and get a soup. Through sheer will power and fear of ruining my mums birthday cake, I did not bury my face in it and eat the whole thing. I stood in the kitchen and avoided cake gate whilst they all chowed down.

Snacks

  • Didn’t have any today

Day 11

It’s food shopping day and the debit card is crying as it knows its about to receive a spanking. £79 in Lidl and a further bloody £40 in Tesco and the food shopping is done for another week. Sunday for us was a pretty chilled out affair but due to being busy and a late start for the morning I really wasn’t hungry as had a really bad sleep the night before due to night terrors I occasionally suffer from. I spent most of the afternoon reading a new book and playing pac man as lost my child to the slave of NowTV.

Breakfast

  • Nothing

Lunch

  • Nothing

Tea

  • Paprika chicken

Snacks

  • 4 protein balls
  • 3 chilli rice cakes & tuna paste

Day 12

So today I am actually having a day off… Yes a day off. Last week’s blog post went live today, so I share that where relevant and aim to do SFA. However, plans changed and to prove a point that we don’t need a steamer to peel wall paper, I peel the wallpaper down in my bedroom and proudly display my handy work at around lunch time. Then spent the rest of the afternoon helping my boyfriend measure up the bedroom and try and make the best of our space with the online Ikea room designer. Guess who’s getting a new desk In her bedroom?!?! Yes that would be me and I can’t bloody wait. A small typical couple debate over the merits of wall paper. He hates it, I want it. We compromised and I’m getting what I wanted and it’s pink & rose gold and he gets the grey he wanted (does this technically mean I won??). We never quite made it to B&Q so we shall save that for shenanigans later in the week.

Breakfast

  • Scrambled eggs & Feta

Lunch

  • Missed lunch again

Tea

  • Cajun turkey

Snacks

  • 4 protein balls
  • 3 chilli rice cakes with tuna paste

Day 13

Today I had a toddler trashing the joint and keeping her auntie rather entertained and amused. I did a B&Q trip for wall paper, paint and everything needed for decorating the bedroom. Headed home and watched tv for the evening.

Breakfast

  • Scrambled eggs & feta

Lunch

  • Got side tracked and forgot to eat

Tea

  • Chicken with low carb noodles in a hoison & peanut sauce

Snacks

  • 2 x caramel snack a jacks (rice cakes)
  • 3 ryvita & tuna paste

Day 14

Well I spent most of today up and down on a chair doing the cutting in and painting for my bedroom. That took me the best part of four hours. Safe to say If you walked me into a DIY shop today you could use me as a colour match to get your paint mixed. Finally settled down to start typing this at 8pm after finishing another round of painting.

Breakfast

  • Scrambled eggs & feta

Lunch

  • Got rather absorbed with the painting & decorating so no lunch again for me today

Tea

  • Chicken in a cashew nut sauce

End of week two

So I have hit the end of week two and I still have not epically failed myself with this diet. I am getting used to the Hiit exercise’s. I have walked 14 miles since last Thursday and I am in general feeling happier, healthier and less sluggish. This diet has also improved my stoma output no end. In the last two weeks I have slept nearly 6-7 hours straight of a night and not had to empty my stoma until around 6 am. Which for me is brilliant as high output is the bane of my life.

How is everyone else managing with their January cleanse or new fitness regime?
